LISA M. LEMOINE GORDON

1035

TRECHEL COMMUNITY, LA

Sept. 15, 1965-Dec. 5, 2020

Lisa M. Lemoine Gordon of Trechel Community went home to be with the Lord Dec. 5, 2020, passing peacefully in her sleep. She was born Sept. 15, 1965, to John “J.I.” Lemoine Jr. and Gloria Hebert Lemoine, whom raised her in Baton Rouge.

Known to many as Mama Lisa, she was a rescuer of orphans both human and animal. Her love and kindness never failed to turn friends into family. God and family were the foundation of her life.

Fueled by caffeine and nicotine, she focused all of her love on her children and Christopher, her beloved husband of 30 years. While she was strong and stoic with an unbreakable spirit, Lisa was always the life of the party. She made every second special and always made the time to take in a sunset. She shared her passion and talent for hair for 37 years, taking joy in making others feel beautiful.

Lisa Gordon had a true servant’s heart for the Lord. Her time on this earth made so many lives brighter, and her legacy of kindness will not be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clinton Wilford Hebert and Elta Elliot Hebert and John Ivory Lemoine Sr. and Ophelia Trichel Lemoine; uncle, Robert Joseph Hebert; and mother, Gloria Hebert Lemoine.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher F. Gordon; daughters, Alyse Gordon White and Victoria Grace Gordon; son-in-law, Leonard “Lenny” L. White III; father, John “J.I.” Lemoine Jr.; siblings, John “Johnny” Lemoine III and Patty Jo Lemoine; as well as many cherished family and friends.

A celebration of her life and everlasting love will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Pace Community Center, 2148 Hwy 1226, Natchitoches.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to your local humane society, animal shelter or volunteer your time in her name.
