Brittanie Gayle Thomas and Kenneth Wayne Tyler III were married Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at the Flora Community Center. The ceremony was officiated by Jason Womack, Pastor of Goldonna Baptist Church.

Brittanie and Kenneth are the parents of Jeremiah Thomas and Maverick Rachal Thomas.

Brittanie is the daughter of Kenneth Thomas and Charlotte Thomas of Natchitoches. She is the granddaughter of Kathy Thomas of Grand Cane, and Sheila Hammond of Bossier City.

Kenny is the son of Kenneth Tyler Jr. of Ashland and Lance and Sharan Kay Willis of Ruston. He is grandson of Kenneth Tyler Sr. and Nina Tyler of Ashland, and Bert and Judy Howell of Dobson. A very special aunt to both Kenny and Brittanie is Sheri Tyler of Goldonna.

Cheynne VanHook served as the Maid of Honor and Megan Tyler, Gabby Scarborough, Carrie Dowden and Ashtyn Keenen served as bridesmaids.

Wyatt Sullivan served as the Best Man and William O’Bannon, Jesse Rachal, Kevin Norman, Tyler Sullivan and Brandon Young served as groomsmen.

Brittanie is a 2016 graduate of Natchitoches Central High School and she is employed with the Natchitoches City Police Department.

Kenny is a 2014 graduate of Lakeview High School and he is attending the Police Academy in Shreveport. Upon graduating the Academy, his plans are to be stationed in Natchitoches.

The bride and groom’s first dance was to “I Have Nothing” by the late Whitney Houston, performed by Ashley O’Bannon.

The bride’s cake was made by Laura Flores Rogers of The Cakery and the groom’s cake was made by Michelle LaCour.

The food at the reception consisted of gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, Italian salad and potato salad, with drinks of tea, lemonade, strawberry lemonade and wedding punch.

The guest enjoyed a number of treats besides the wedding cake that consisted of cup cakes, a table of popcorn, donuts provided by The Donut Shop, cookies and an assortment of candies.

The happy couple plans on making their home in the City of Natchitoches.
