Bobby Gene Dalme passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Oschner’s Medical Center in New Orleans Dec. 19, 2020, at 11:58 p.m. at the age of 82 years.

Bob is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents, Nellie Rachal and Herbert (Buster) Dalme; and his brother, James Ray Dalme.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Marcia Dalme. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Brian Dalme (Marie) of Covington, Bruce Dalme (Kerri) of Kilgore, Texas, Barry Dalme (Kristi) of Flora, Brett Dalme (Janet) of Henderson, Texas, Bradley Dalme (Jammie) of Chopin, Jody LaCour (Cristal) of Natchez, Kelly Davis (Clyde) of Natchitoches, and Landon LaCour (Sara) of Natchez; as well as his 26 grandkids and 33 great-grandkids; one brother, Charles Dalme (Kaye) of Cloutierville; and one sister-in-law, Rose Marie Dalme.

Bob was born in Cloutierville May 22, 1938.  He graduated from Cloutierville High School in 1957.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and completed two tours during the Vietnam War.  Upon returning home, he joined the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Department and retired after 23 years.

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and cooking.  He could cook a “mean” pot of crawfish.

A visitation will be at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 5-8 p.m.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rachal Cemetery in Marco.

Those honored to be pallbearers will be Brian Dalme, Bruce Dalme, Brett Dalme, Barry Dalme, Bradley Dalme and Justin Dalme.
