St Mary’s lady Tigers struggled at home against Logansport. The first district game for the Ladies was postponed by an imposed quarantine after the Holiday break. The two weeks of rust could not be shaken off easily.
The first team practice was held the day prior to the game since the team was unable to practice by LHSAA regulations amid COVID-19 contact tracing. Logansport put constant pressure on Saint Mary’s with every inbounds.
Full court pressure was a daunting challenge for the home Tigers and resulted in several turnovers that Logansport took advantage of. The other glaring problem for St. Mary’s was rebounding. Multiple second chance shots off offensive rebounds yielded points for Logansport. Despite the struggles, St. Mary’s only lost by six points.
District action continues this week and St. Mary’s returns home next Tuesday.
