Traffic stop leads to arrest of Goldonna man on felony drug charges; suspected Mojo concealed in suspect’s mouth

A traffic stop near Campti led to the arrest of a Goldonna man, Jody Lee Winn, 29, on felony drug charges that resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuan , methamphetamine and pharmaceutical narcotics.
Deputies on were patrolling in Campti Monday, Feb. 1 around 9:38 p.m. when they stopped a 1993 Volvo on La. Hwy 9.
During the traffic stop, deputies asked Winn for his driver’s license. Winn stated he did not have a license.
Deputies say during the stop, Winn appeared uneasy leading them to believe criminal activity existed.
Deputies obtained permission to search Winn and his vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies seized approximately 2-grams of suspected methamphetamine, suspected alprazolam and drug paraphernalia.
Winn was placed under arrest without resistance and transported to the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center for processing.
While at the detention center, deputies discovered 2-small cellophane bags containing suspected synthetic marijuana (mojo) concealed under Winn’s tongue.
Winn is charged with Possession of CDS I Marijuana, Possession of CDS II Methamphetamine, Possession of CDS IV Alprazolam, and Entering Contraband into a Penal Institution, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and traffic offenses.
The seized evidence will be submitted to the crime lab for narcotics analysis.
