Funeral services to honor the life of Thomas Joe Hilton will be Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Natchitoches, with Bro. Tommy Rush officiating.  Burial will follow at New Cedron Cemetery in Vowells Mill.  The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, Thomas Hilton, loving husband, father and friend departed this earth to be with his heavenly Father.  Thomas was born March 9, 1963 to Alvin and Frieda Williams Hilton in Mena, Ark.

He was number seven of 10 children and grew up in Broken Bow, Okla.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Frieda; and siblings, Alfreda, Richard, Roger and Larry.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 17 years, Paula Honeycutt Hilton; sons, Marcus Hilton, Jace Morris; and Tyler Morris and wife Merrideth; granddaughters, Emery Claire Morris and baby Lily; siblings, Robert Hilton, Pat Phillips, Darlene Tumbleson, Charles Hilton and Ronald Hilton.

Thomas worked at Pilgrim’s Pride for about 30 years.  During his years in the poultry industry, he befriended many.  He believed in putting in a hard day’s work and providing for his family.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchitoches and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He professed his faith by public baptism Sept. 11, 2016.

Everyone who met Thomas learned right away that he had a quick wit and a captivating personality.  He had many hobbies and perfected each one.  Along the way, he made many friends through hunting and golfing.  One of his biggest passions over the past 10 years was competitive bass fishing wit his fishing partner, Paula.

Thomas enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.  He had a very giving heart and loved doing for others. He never met a stranger and always took the opportunity to share the Word of God.
