The following cases were heard in District Court Feb. 2-5.

Feb. 2

HARVEY, Coleman J., hunting without resident license, dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

IVERSON, Kenneth Paul, DWI-first offense, dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

VINES, Jeremy D., illegal carrying of weapons, improper lane usage, both dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

AUGHT, Whitney N., possession of sch. IV, driving an unsafe vehicle, both dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

BRIAN, Pauline, simple battery, Driving Under Suspension, obstruction, dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

DAY, Heather Mackenzie, simple possession of marijuana, dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

Feb. 3

SOWELL, Andre Lamar, simple burglary, probation revoked. Sentenced to serve original sentence of 7 years with credit for time served. In a related matter, Sowell was charged Feb. 12 for possession of sch. I, improper window tint, possession of drug paraphernalia, 2 counts possession of sch. I, resisting and illegal use of CDS. Bond was set at $14,000 plus probation/drug court hold.

MARLIN, Samuel, attempted simple burglary, probation was transferred to the drug court program. His fines and costs were amended to $70; $500 attorney’s fees; $100 to DARE; $100 to the criminal court fund; $150 to the crime lab; $10 to the coroner; and $2 to crime stoppers. The court advised that there will be a $25 per month drug screen fee to be paid to drug court; and a $26 per month supervision fee to be paid to probation and parole.

Feb. 4

KNAPP, Dale D., theft, court revoked probation, ordered to serve original sentence of 5 years in LDOC with credit for time served.

TAYLOR, CARL J., JR., simple battery, court revoked probation, ordered to serve original sentence of 3 years with LDOC with credit for time served. On charges of possession of sch. I marijuana-2nd offense, Knapp pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 6 months in the parish jail, sentences to run concurrent and given credit for time served. Theft off a motor vehicle charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.

DYAS, William P., simple possession of marijuana, dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program

Feb. 5

ZENO, Quinton Gevante, simple burglary, probation revoked and ordered to serve original sentence of 10 years in LDOC with credit for time served.
