John Garner passed Saturday, March 20, 2021, after a valiant battle with pneumonia following an accident causing a broken hip and hip replacement surgery.
John is survived by his partner and best friend, Fran Evans; one daughter, Lisa O’Donnell; sister, Jennifer Gallien; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece; two nephews; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Garner; father, JE Garner Sr.; brother, Roger Garner; and son, Cody Mauldin Garner.
Visitation only is planned in Shreveport Friday, March 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Aulds Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery with the Rev. Chad James officiating.
This is a man who never complained through his many ailments. He always wanted to do more than his body would allow. He would do anything for others. He loved his Lord and lived his life as an example of what we should all model.
