Spring Festival royalty introduced at party

Former Kings of the St. Denis Art League gathered Sunday, March 14 at the Cane River home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith David Ducote to celebrate the reign of the 53rd Spring Festival King, Jared Ryan Dunahoe, and his queen, Madeline Elizabeth Godfrey.

Jerry Darrell Pierce, the 52nd Spring Festival King, and his wife, Regina, hosted the former Kings and their wives, which has been an annual event of the Art League since its inception in 1968.  As part of the formal introduction of this year’s Royalty, Mrs. Otis Edwin Dunahoe Jr., chair of the St. Denis Art League Board of Directors, introduced the Heralds to the King and Queen, which included Lacey Marie Boyd, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Thomas Boyd; Ann-Marie Ryan Dunahoe, daughter of the King and his wife, Danielle; Addison Rae McGrath, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Michael Ross McGrath II; and Presley Paige White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waylon Richard White.

Her Highness, Miss Godfrey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips Godfrey IV, and the Ladies of the Court will be honored by the Board of Directors at Brunch on Saturday, April 3, at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Giles Horton.  She and her Heralds will also be honored at a party hosted by the 52nd Spring Festival Heralds on Sunday, April 11, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ducote.

The Spring Court Presentation and Ball will be Saturday, April 17 at 8 p.m. at the Natchitoches Events Center.
