Chiefs defeat Northwood in 3 straight games

The Chiefs hit the road Friday, March 19 to play Northwood in Shreveport at 5 p.m. and took the win 5 – 4. They took on Northwood Saturday in Natchitoches for a double header at noon and 3 p.m. NCHS took the win 8-2 in the first game and 5-4 in the afternoon.


#23 David Elliott pitched 6 innings striking out 6. #5 Alex Dupuy, #10 Matt Dunn, #12 Baden Turlington each had multiple hits.  #4 Connor Stokes had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.

Saturday at noon

#10 Matt Dunn pitched 6 innings striking out 11 and walking 1. #12 Baden Turlington, #10 Matt Dunn, and #7 Cooper Hudson all knocking in runs in the 3rd inning. #5 Alex Dupuy led in hits.

Saturday at 3 p.m.

The second game was started off with #22 Jesse Taitano taking the mound for the first 4 innings. #17 Colby Raupp and #5 Alex Dupuy both had multiple hits. #4 Connor Stokes doubled in the fifth inning scoring a run. #12 Baden Turlington sealed the deal with a walk off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th scoring one run to win the game. Coach is Regan Kaufman. Assistant coaches are Matthew Danna, Xavier Braxton and Mark Dawson.
