The Lakeview Gator girls powerlifting team had a handful of state qualifiers that competed Friday, March 19 in Monroe. First, Destinee Britt, a senior in the 114.5 LB weight class. She finished eighth with a 430 pound total, 5 pounds more than her qualifying total at regionals.
Next, her sister Zoie Britt, a sophomore in the 123.5 pound weight class, finished seventh, with a 490 pound total. That was 25 pounds more than her qualifying total at regionals.
Jagloria Ford, a sophomore in the 132.3 division finished seventh with a 545 total, 55 pounds more than qualifying.

Addysage Seay, a sophomore in the super heavyweight class, finished fifth, with a 600 pound total.
Serenity Bush, a sophomore in the super heavyweight class, finished fourth, barely missing the podium, with a 660 pound total. That was 75 pounds more than qualifying.
Last, is Emma Hatten, a junior in the 97 pound weight class. She finished third and brought home the bronze medal. Hatten finished with a 375 pound total, 40 more than her qualifying.
All these underclassmen will be back next year with a vengeance. Finally Lakeview is again becoming a force to reckoned with in the sport of powerlifting.
The last time Lakeview had a presence on the podium was in 2005.
