The graveside service for Mildred Braden Anthony will be Saturday, April 3 at 11 a.m. at the old Breda Town Cemetery (at the end of Phillips Street) in Natchitoches.  Family and friends will gather at Winnfield Funeral Home Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and form a procession to the burial site at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Waddell Smith, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Ms. Anthony, 76, was born in Natchitoches Nov 11, 1944, to the late Press Braden Sr. and Annie Matthews Braden.

She accepted Jesus at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of the Rev. David Pye at Bethel, where she served faithfully in several leadership positions, until her passing. She attended Bethel school in the upper Cane River community and graduated from Central High School in 1962.  Ms. Anthony later became a longtime employee at State Farm Insurance.

She was married to the late McArthur Anthony.  From that union came Myrna Anthony Coleman, and beloved granddaughter Terri Charmaine Coleman, of San Antonio.

Ms. Anthony transitioned from this life after a stroke Saturday, Mar 27, 2021.

She is also survived by her sister, Annie Braden Nora of Houston; a special niece, Jackie Blake of Natchitoches; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
