Milleigh Aton won All-Around State Champion in Level 1-Division C at the Women’s Jr. Olympics in Westwego March 6-7. Aton, 6, is a Level 1 gymnast from Elite Cheer-Nastics, coached by Alyssa Palmer Price and Sonja M. Palmer.

She began gymnastics at age 5, is an amazing athlete and loves gymnastics. Aton began with the tumble bears class at ECN. Her mother is a legacy to the program, facility and family. Alyssa Palmer stated, “I knew she had a chance to win state. I am so happy for ‘Mills.’ She is such a hard worker and I love coaching her.”

Elite Cheer-Nastics had five girls qualify for state. Each year, there is a qualifying score that must be met. ECN’s standard for qualifying is higher than the state’s requirement since it is a higher level of competition. Lilly Boyd, 11, placed second on beam. She is a Level 4 gymnast that has been in the ECN program since age 5.

Level 2 gymnasts also qualifying for the state competition are Azylea Allen, Gracelynn Leone and Norah McGrath.
