Natchitoches Police arrest individual for threatening to blow up the police station

Police Communication Officers with the Natchitoches Police Department received a phone call April 27 around 12:07 p.m. from an individual stating they were going to blow up the police station.
The Criminal Investigations Division and the High Tech Crime Unit were notified and located the residence where the bomb threat was made in the 500 block of North Street.  As a result of their investigation, Brandon Daniels, b/m, 20, of Natchitoches, was identified as the suspect.
Daniels was placed under arrest without incident.  He is charged with one count of Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson and placed in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson is a felony and carries a maximum prison sentence of not more than 15 years.
