Donations requested for ‘Regalia Closet,’ providing caps, gowns and cords for graduates in need

Dr. Jennifer Shaw the NSU Department of Social Work is currently accepting donations of graduation caps, gowns and cords. According to Shaw, many students don’t participate in graduation because they cannot afford to purchase regalia (their cap and gown).

Shaw believes that no one should miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime event and is starting a “Regalia Closet” for individuals in need. Regalia can be borrowed for graduation and returned to Shaw. Contact Shaw directly at shawj@nsula.edu or 318-357-4650 to make arrangements for gown donation.
