The following criminal cases were heard March 3-9 in the 10th Judicial District Court.

MATTHEWS, SHECOLA, Possession of sch. II, possession of drug paraphernalia. Dismissed after completion of drug court.

HOWARD, REGIS, 28, possession of sch. I, dismissed; attempted possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, guilty plea. Probation revoked and ordered to serve original sentence of seven years with credit for time served.

NEWTON, KENDRICK, theft of a motor vehicle, guilty plea. Sentenced to six years with La Dept. of Corrections (DOC) with credit for time served.

BUSH, FATE VINCENT, Possession of sch II; ordered to serve 2 years with DOC, suspended. Placed on 2 years supervised probation. Ordered to pay $500 fine, $476.50 court costs, $150 crime lab, $100 criminal court fund, $100 DARE program, $500 public defender’s office, $10 to coroner and $2 to Crime Stopper. Two weapons seized at the time of the arrest were forfeited. Special conditions of probation include pay a monthly probation supervision fee of $60 and $11 monthly to the SOT fund, a total of $71 per month and a one time fee of $50 to the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLA) for the drug abuse education and treatment fund through the Probation and Parole (P&P) office.

ZENO, JAMIE, possession of sch. II; ordered to serve 2 years with DOC, suspended. Placed on 2 years supervised probation. Ordered to pay $1,838.50 in fines and fees plus $71 monthly to P&P and a one time fee of $50 to LCLA.

MEREDITH, CORNELL, aggravated assault; Count 1: ordered to serve 6 months in the Natchitoches Parish jail, suspended. Placed on 1 year supervised probation. Ordered to pay $1,176.50 in fines and costs and $25 monthly to P&P. Count 2: same sentence and fines. Count 3: same sentence and fines. Count 4: same sentence and fines. In addition, court ordered that the defendant have no contact with NSU nor any of the four victims. Court ordered defendant to maintain mental health appointments provide monthly reports to probation officer. All sentences to run consecutive.

THRASH, ALVIN RAY, DWI-1st, expired driver’s license, no license plate. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

EDWARDS, KRISTEN, possession of sch. I, simple possession of marijuana. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

CHEVALIER, ETHAN, DWI-1st. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

THOMPSON, JESSIE LAYNE, failure to register as a sex offender, failure to pay fees. Dismissed after completing a rehabilitation program from April 11, 2019-July 27, 2020.

COMPTON, TINA R., possession of sch. IV. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

MARKHAM, KRISTINA MARIE, 2 counts theft, attempted theft. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

LAPIERRE, JOSHUA, simple possession of marijuana. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

OSBORNE, THOMAS ROBERT, DWI-1st. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.

GRAVES, ADAM CHARLES, DWI-1st, open container. Dismissed after completing pre-trial intervention program.
