Nov. 11, 1941 – May 4, 2021
On May 4, 2021, our beloved husband and father went to rest with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
John was born Nov. 11, 1941, to John B. and Louise Denker deMille.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil B. deMille and Mr. and Mrs.C. J. Kubach, all of Los Angeles, Calif.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Rosa L. Ward deMille; children, John A. deMille, Joseph B. deMille and Suzanne C. deMille Williams; 10 adoring grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Allan B. deMille, Dianne deMille and Julie Morgan; and niece Katie Brannan.
John was an attorney at law in the state of Texas for approximately 40 years. He was an avid lover of horses and had raised Arabians for a while before he retired and moved with his wife of 29 years to Louisiana. He loved to read and was very politically involved.
John was a great host, husband, father and friend. He will be dearly missed.
Services will be at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home Thursday, May 6. Visitation starts at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m. with Father John Cunningham officiating. Burial to follow at Bellwood Cemetery, Bellwood.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Sean D. Wester, Marcus A. Ward, Adam B. Varnell, Joshua L. Ward, Elton R. Allen and Jason B. Sauve’.
