With the possibility for more heavy rainfall today on already saturated soils, a flash flood watch has been issued for a good portion of the area into tomorrow morning
Timing and Overview:
- Thunderstorms will be possible almost all day, with some of these storms likely to product moderate to heavy rainfall at times.
Expected Accumulations:
- Widespread 1 to 3 inches of rain have already fallen across the watch area
- Isolated amounts of 8 to 10 inches have been observed in deep E. Texas
- Between 2 and 3 inches of rain are expected over the next 24 hours
- Locally higher amounts will be possible
Impacts:
- Flash flooding possible due to already saturated soils
- Additional rises to lakes and rivers will also be possible over the next few days
