Saint Mary’s Golf teed it up in State Championship tournament

The Girls played at Les Vieux Chenes, the course playing out at 5,679 yards and par 74. For the Ladies, day one scores as follows: Abigail Ramian scored a 59-49, Gracie Chasteen 56-64 and Emma Haecker 72-69. Day two totals were 196 for Ramian, 227 for Chasteen and 285 for Haecker. For the boys, Dane Files had the lowest day one score posting an 85 with a 43 on the front nine and 42 on the back nine. Files had the best outing for the Tigers.

Ben Smiley and Hunter Willis each had a 96 on day one. Cole Fisher posted a 112 and Aiden Evans had a 118. The Wetlands course in Lafayette was the host site for the boys tournament and played out at 6,348 yards and a par 72.

Although neither team finished remarkably high in the final standing, they played well and look to build on the season.
