The Flash Flood Watch has been extended through 7 pm this evening for East Texas, McCurtain County Oklahoma, much of Southwest Arkansas and North Louisiana.
Timing and Overview:
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue this morning before increasing in coverage and intensity during the afternoon through early this evening, and then will gradually diminish tonight.
- Locally heavy rainfall will be possible. This may lead to flash flooding over Southeast Oklahoma, East Texas, and most of Southwest Arkansas and Northern Louisiana where grounds are already saturated.
- Additional rainfall amounts of around an inch are possible today, with isolated higher amounts from the strongest storms.
- Flash flooding will be possible.
