NPSO launches IMPACT detail; 2 women face drug charges

According to Task Force official, Deputies from the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office assigned to the I.M.P.A.C.T (Increasing Man Power Addressing Crime Trends) team stopped a dark colored truck June 2 at 11 p.m. for modified exhaust at the intersection of LA 6 and US 84.

Deputies made contact with Wendy Torres, 50, w/f, of the 100 block of Majors Road, Clarence, and Kathy Holland, 53, w/f, of the 1300 block of Hwy 71, Campti.

Deputies received consent to search the vehicle. They located 4.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine that allegedly belonged to Torres, and approximately 3.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine allegedly belonging to Holland.

Torres and Holland were arrested.

WENDY TORRES

Torres was charged with:

*1 ct 40:967 Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine)

*1 ct 40:1023 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

*1 ct 32:353 Modified exhaust

KATHY HOLLAND

Holland was charged with:

*1 ct 40:967 Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamine)

*1 ct 40:1023 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Both were placed into the NPDC and given a felony arraignment notice for Sept. 7.
