A celebration for the life of Mrs. Sarah Jolene Gourdon will be Thursday, June 24 at 10 a.m. at Clearlake Cemetery in Goldonna.
Sarah was born Sept. 2, 1971, to Wilma Harrison Cheshire and Bob Cheshire in Ennis, Texas. She passed away June 16, 2021, at her home in Goldonna with her loving husband, Michael.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma and Bob Cheshire; a son, James Bobby Lewis Branson; sister-in-law, Christie Cheshire; and father-in-law, Wayne Gourdon.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Michael Gourdon; daughters, Lizzie Gourdon and Olivia Hatley; siblings, Edwina and Thomas Pittman, Harvie Cheshire, Lori and Eddie Allen, Emalee and Tony Cortez; and mother-in-law Peggy Gourdon; brother-in-law, Jesse Gourdon; nieces and nephews, Andi and Jim Mason, Sam and Paul Wilburn, Chris and Jenn Cheshire, Bradley and Holly Cheshire, Danielle Cheshire, Jaylon ad Sabrina Cheshire, Matt and Morgan Allen, Jacob Allen, Katie Allen, James Allen, Jeff and Brittany Allen, Amanda and John Bush, and Ryan Hughes; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and her precious fur babies that she loved so much, Snoopy, Tinker, Harley and Chopper.
Sarah was Michael’s rock. She loved her family and took great care of them all. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She loved to paint and tend to her flower garden that she took great pride in keeping it up. She was in college working on a degree in criminology, had a 4.0 GPA, and was just notified as being a part of Honor Society.
Sarah will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
