Cynita Ann Nash was born in Campti Aug. 3, 1953 to Etha Mae Nash and James Johnson. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 26 at 4 p.m. at Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home, Natchitoches, with Pastor Lillie Thompson officiating.

She was educated in Kansas City, Mo., graduating from Southeast High School. Cynita went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Park College in Parkville, Mo. Cynita was employed as Director of Records with Job Corps for over 20 years. She most recently worked as Property Manager with Inner City Revitalization Corporation.

Cynita accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greenville Baptist Church in Clarence. At the time of her passing, she was of a faithful member of Pleasant Full Gospel Church in Boyce. Cynita loved God and knew without a shadow of doubt that God loved her too. Cynita’s love language was cooking and baking. If she ever cooked for you or made you a dessert, you were someone special.

Cynita was preceded in death by her parents, Etha Mae (Alfred) Thomas and James (Eula) Johnson; maternal grandparents, Emeal and Beatrice Nash; aunts, Benda Seweje, Mamie Eden and Mercie Windon.

She is survived by her beloved children, Glenn (Tracie) Nash and Chameka Nash; grandchildren, Juston (Autumn), Jordan, Jalen, Airamya, Antuan, Kyla, Kerya, Gavin, DaRaiya and ChaRaiya; great-grandchildren, Juston Jr., Harmony and Nysir; brothers, Leroy Johnson and James Johnson Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; sisters, Carolyn Johnson of Los Angeles; Katrina Thomas, Demetria (Donnie) Criswell, Donna Morton and Cassandra Jennings of Kansas City, Mo.; uncles, Curtis Nash of Los Angeles, Alton Nash of Shreveport and Danny Evans of Clarence; aunt, Alice Coleman of Kansas City; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends.
