I.M.P.A.C.T. team deputies conducted a traffic stop near the 2500 block of Johnson Chute Road July 2. Deputies came into contact with Kimberley Oliver, who had a suspended driver’s license, Travis Megason and Michael Porter.

Deputy Campbell and his K9, Misty, were called to perform an open air sniff around the vehicle. Misty gave a positive alert, which led to the detainment of all three occupants. They were advised of their Miranda rights. One glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue was seized.

At the time, there was no available female deputy to search Oliver. She was advised that she would be transported to the NPDC and would have additional charges if any substances were found on her person. Oliver handed a syringe loaded with methamphetamine to deputies.

Both male subjects were transported to the NMJDTF for further interview and Porter was released due to no illegal items being in his possession.

Megason was arrested for 1 ct. Possession of Schedule II and 1 ct. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Oliver was charged with Possession of methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
