Funeral services for Donald Curry Sr. will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 9 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Burial will follow at New Nazarene Baptist Cemetery in Natchez. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday.
Donald Curry was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Natchitoches to John Henry and Louisiana Curry. He departed this life Monday, July 5, 2021, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital surrounded by his lovely family.
Donald lived in Natchitoches all his life. He was a kind and loving person that would help anyone in need. He was known as a “Jack-of-all-trades,” which helped him attain his position as Maintenance Supervisor at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home for over 20 years. Donald’s biggest passion was rescuing stray or wounded animals and nursing them back to health.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Louisiana Curry; son, Donald Curry Jr.; and brother Arnold Curry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his lifelong partner, Marie LaCaze; stepson, Cody; his son, Alex Curry (Rica); daughter, Angela Anthony (Chris); sister Lora Curry; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
