Texas Conservation Corps (TxCC) works with partners, including the Cane River Creole National Historical Park (CRCNHP), to provide Individual Placements, AmeriCorps members who serve the duration of their term at the partner site. During this time, Texas Conservation Corps assists the partner with tools and resources to complete their project objectives, as well as manages members’ timesheets and project reporting.

In order to facilitate a rewarding experience, TxCC works with the site to define measurable outcomes that the Individual Placement is able to fulfill.

Cane River Creole National Historical Park Individual Placement:

This opportunity will partner with the National Park Service (NPS) to provide hands-on experience with the management of historic structures and landscapes at the Cane River Creole National Historic Park. During this term members will help with vegetation management, minor building repairs, and general custodial tasks at the park. The ideal candidate for this position would be from the Natchitoches area with an interest in launching their career with NPS. The term is July 2021 – December 2021 or May 2022.
