Friends and family members of Natchitoches Mayor Ronnie Williams Jr. will host the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Saturday morning, Aug. 7, in the H.B. Barnum Family Life Center at First Baptist Church, 1116 Amulet St. The last time a Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast was during the tenure of Mayor Wayne McCullen.
The event will feature a series of prayers by local pastors and musical offerings. “As we work to build a strong community (bringing spiritual and community leaders together) together, we are pleased to share our facility as the host site for this year’s breakfast,” said First Baptist-Amulet Pastor and committee member Rev. Thomas E. Carter Sr.
Designed to keenly encourage prayer, togetherness/unity and growth in the City of Natchitoches, the breakfast will be hosted every first Saturday in August. “To be uplifted in spirit and united prayer, this is an awesome effort for our community. We believe in the power of prayer,” said the Rev. Bradlen J. Holden, Pastor of First Baptist Church, North Street, and breakfast committee member.
