Jerri was born to Billy L. McElwee Sr. and Shirley Crippen Aug. 3, 1958, in Natchitoches and on Aug. 11, 2021, she passed away and was reunited with her father in heaven.
She was in a long-term relationship with Robert Allen, someone that she considered her soul mate and life partner.
She is survived by two sons, Jarrod Trent Price and Rodney Jerrell Price Jr. from Tomball, Texas. Although she didn’t get to see them nearly as much as she wanted to, she loved her sons and dearly missed them.
Jerri is also survived by two brothers, Billy L. McElwee Jr. and wife Kim and Max McElwee and life partner Sabrina Parent.
Jerri enjoyed life with Robert. They traveled for their job and in the course of working got to see the world together. Of all places though, her favorite place was sitting on her back porch, drinking coffee with family and friends that would drop by for a visit.
Their neighbors had three sons, Wyatt Brody Simmons, Oliver Grey Simmons and Christian Zane Kilpatrick, that Jerri and Robert adopted as their own grandchildren. They even called her Nana and Robert was PaPa. The three of them immediately stole her heart and when they would call her Nana, she would smile the biggest smile.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A service to celebrate her life was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
