Deputies deploy to render aid

Four Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, members of the Louisiana Sheriff’s Association Emergency Task Force and members of Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection Districts #7 and #9 left Natchitoches Monday, Aug. 30 enroute to LaPlace in St. John the Baptist Parish to aid in Hurricane Ida relief efforts.

Deputies are responding to LaPlace with two Argo amphibious vehicles, a boat and a camper to assist in high water rescue missions, patrol and other matters that will aid citizens of south Louisiana. Deputies are expected to remain through the week.
