Jimmie Lee Snow Houston, known as “Billy,” passed away peacefully at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Aug. 28, 2021, at the age of 93. A funeral service will be Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. at Goodwill Baptist Church in Breda Town. Interment will follow at Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. at the church.

Jimmie Lee was well known in the Natchitoches Community. She worked tirelessly all of her life in the Natchitoches Parish School system until retiring. After her retirement she continued to work taking care of Mr. Wayne Dew and family until she could no more. She left a huge void in the family. She was married to the love of her life, Mr. John W. Houston of Clarence, whom precedes in her death. Billy had such a huge heart and would help or feed anyone that needed it. Her door was always open. She has left a void in the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Houston; daughter, Narvella Smith Rachal; son, Andrew Snow; and parents, Lucille “L.C.” Lawrence and Johnnie Lawrence.

She is survived by her daughter, Delores Barnes (James); sons, Jessie Snow (Evelyn) of Texas, Cyldell Snow and Terry Snow of Natchitoches; a host of grandkids and great-grandkids including Rhonda Smith, Bruce Smith, AuBrey Smith, Bruce Smith Jr., Bryson Smith, Temika Smith, Keara Smith (Brandon), Abranika Smith, Christopher Williams Jr., Taylor Chalk, Khari Williams, Naeroby Burton, Tyrek Sowell Jr., Diamond Burton, A’miyia Jackson, Micheal Smith, Michael Smith Jr., Melissa Robinson (Rodney), Bianca Robinson, Darrell Beard Jr., Maddox Robinson, Vernon Rachal, Roderick Rachal, Andrew Snow Jr., Toquita Allen, Cristian Allen, Zhanier Daniels (Clifton), Jeremiah Daniels, Zakari Daniels, Deborah Snow, Taylour Johnston, and many more.
