A chapel service for Olena “Tiny” DuBois was at noon, Sunday, Sept. 5 at Kramer of Colfax with the Rev. John Brocato officiating. Interment followed in French Cemetery. Visitation and recitation of the Holy Rosary was Sept. 4 in the Kramer chapel.

Olena “Tiny” DuBois, 82, of Montgomery passed away Sept. 2, 2021, at Oak Haven Community Care Center.

Tiny is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Claude “J C” Antee; her parents, Thomas and Telia Thompson DuBois; sisters, Leona Sharbono, Orrie Dauzat and Ola Mae Williams; and brothers, Charles DuBois, Junior DuBois and Cleveland “Buddy” DuBois.

Olena “Tiny” DuBois was born Aug. 27, 1939, in Montgomery. She was married to Jessie Claude “J.C.” Antee for 27 years. They had a wonderful marriage of laughing, joking, working and fishing on the lake.  Tiny lived in Montgomery all her life until she became ill with Dementia. For the last two years, Tiny was a resident at Oak Haven Community Care Facility. Everyone referred to her as “Mrs. Tiny” which was her nickname from birth.  She always enjoyed spending time with people. Tiny worked most of her life in the food industry. Her love of cooking fed many children at Colfax Elementary for 15 years. In Tiny’s spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and canning. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include two children, Rodney Claude Antee and Nancy Elizabeth Crooks (Delbert Crooks); one grandson, Christopher Rodney Antee (Pamela Clifton Antee); five great- grandchildren, Ea MeKenzie Feaszell, Kairi Elara Crooks, Kira Marie Antee, Kaylee Isabella Purvis and Kynleigh Louise Antee; one sister, Ester Lene Mooty (Harmon Mooty); and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve were Shannon DuBois, Huey DuBois, Steve Sharbono, James Sharbono, Eugene Sharbono and Billy Mooty.

Honorary pallbearers were Ross “Butch” Goodrich, Willard Sharbono and Curtis Knight
