May 9, 1969-Sept. 17, 2021

Michelle Ann O’Donnell was born May 9, 1969, at the USAF Hospital, USAF Academy, Colo.  She lost her courageous battle with cancer Sept. 17, 2021, at her home in Natchitoches.

Michelle was born in a military family, and therefore attended numerous schools in Texas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Alaska and Tennessee.  She graduated from Natchitoches Central High School.  She also attended Northwestern State University.  In the early 1990s, she worked for Natchitoches Communications District readdressing the Parish from route to box numbers to numbered addresses, streets and roads.

Michelle is survived by her parents, Tom and Barbara O’Donnell; sister, Sandy O’Donnell; niece and husband, Brittany and Stephen Barton; nephew and wife, Stuart and Becca O’Donnell; nephew and fiancée, Darryl Jordan Jr. and Ashlee Hawkins; numerous great-nephews and a great-niece that she loved dearly, Dakota, Cameron, Raylee, Gunner, Axel and Jaxson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Finally, yet importantly, her dog, Buddy.

Michelle has been a fighter all of her life and continued to do so until the end.  Everyone that had the honor to know her, loved her. She was a true sports fan and loved her Dallas Cowboys. She collected all types of sports cards and comics. Animals also had a special place in Michelle’s heart.  She was the best daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own. She touched so many lives with her passion for life. She will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Natchitoches for all the special care that was given to Michelle, and for helping the family during a difficult time.
