In lieu of this weekend’s events, Downtown Natchitoches will see road closures beginning today, Thursday, Oct. 7 beginning at 5 p.m. for the Natchitoches Central High School Homecoming Pep Rally.
The riverbank will close to vehicular traffic at 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8 to allow for additional set up for TappedTober. The Riverbank will remain closed until the conclusion of the event Saturday evening. The Church Street Bridge will be closed to all traffic including pedestrians and motorists at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9. Williams Avenue from Whitfield to Henry Avenue will also close at 7:30 p.m. for the firework show on the south end of the Riverbank. The Church Street Bridge and Williams Avenue will reopen once the Fire Marshall has given the all clear.
On Saturday, Oct. 9, Front Street from Church to St. Denis Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at 6 a.m. St. Denis Street will remain open to vehicular traffic until the start of Sip & Stroll at 5 p.m. The remaining portions of Front Street from Touline to Lafayette will close at 5 p.m. Events will conclude at 10:30pm.
