The following criminal cases were heard in the 10th Judicial District Court.

July 28

COLEMAN, DEON, 2 counts theft. Under count 1, sentenced to 6 months in parish jail. Under count 2, also sentenced to 6 months in parish jail. Sentences to run concurrent with credit for time served.

NEWTON, KENDRICK, theft of a firearm. Sentenced to 5 years in Dept. of Corrections (DOC) without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence. To run concurrent with any other sentence currently serving. Credit for time served.

BARRETT, JAMES D., illegal carrying of weapons. Sentenced to 90 days in parish jail with credit for time served.

MEDLIN, COURTNEY RENA, cruelty to a juvenile. Sentenced to 10 years with DOC, suspended, placed on 3 years supervised probation. Ordered to pay fines, costs and probation fees.

BALTHAZAR, KENDRICK JEROME, SR., possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (attempted). Sentenced to 7 years with DOC, suspended, placed on 3 years supervised probation. Ordered to pay fines, costs and probation fees. Defendant also pleaded guilty to possession of sch. II. Sentenced to 5 years DOC, suspended, placed on 3 years supervised probation. Ordered to pay fines, costs and probation fees. Sentences to run concurrent.

PIERCE, GEORGE, remaining. Sentenced to 30 days in parish jail w/credit for time served.

IRISH, DONNY, count 1, possession of sch. I; count 2, reckless operation. Sentenced to 30 days in parish jail on count 1 and 15 days on count 2, to run concurrent. Credit for time served.

DANIELS, BRANDON, failure to return leased property. Sentenced to 6 months in p parish jail, suspended, and placed on 6 months supervised probation. Ordered to pay fines, costs and probation fees.

July 29

ROBERSON, JAMIE AMBROSE, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sentenced to 5 years with DOC to run concurrent with any other sentence currently serving. Credit for time served.

July 30

HAMILTON, MONETA T., unauthorized use of an access card. Dismissed after restitution was paid in full.
