Natchitoches Central Lady Chiefs volleyball fell short against Episcopal School of Acadiana Lady Falcons 3-0 last week, with the Chiefs dropping all three sets 24-26, 13-25 and 14-25. NCHS made improvements and bounced back the same week as they dominated the Haughton Lady Buccaneers 3-0, notching NCHS to a 3-0 record in district and 4-1 overall.

In three sets, the Lady Chiefs scored 25-7, 25-8 and 25-9 against the Lady Bucs. Baliee Newlee, #5 for NCHS, kept matches consistent with 10 aces and three blocks. Gracie Moore contributed to the dominance with eight assists and seven aces.
An outstanding performance last week leads to Lady Chiefs volleyball back home against Sam Houston, with varsity and junior varsity starting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16.
The Lady Broncos are coming off a 2-0 loss against Mandeville, while keeping a 2-1 record with victories against Westminster Academy and St. Louis Catholic.
