Natchitoches student crowned ULM homecoming king

Jay Parker of Natchitoches was crowned the University of Louisiana Monroe homecoming king during halftime of the ULM-South Alabama football game on Oct. 23. Parker was selected for the homecoming court for his outstanding student involvement. The ULM student body chose Parker from other seniors on the court as king.

Parker is a senior studying communication. He is the recipient of multiple academic honors, including the ULM Lois and John Breaux Public Relations Endowment Scholarship and the ULM Brenda McAdams and Steve Finch Foundation Scholarship. Parker serves his student body as vice president of the Student Government Association and is a member of Catholic Campus Ministry and PREP Staff.

After graduation, he plans to attend law school. Parker is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and is the son of Jason and Mandy Parker.
