Hunter Zachary Carroll passed away surrounded by his family Nov. 17, 2021, at Lane Medical Center in Zachary. Hunter was born in Pineville April 20, 1986. Hunter graduated from St. Mary’s School in Natchitoches, class of 2005, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served in the United States Army. He was 35 years old. He was self-employed as an automotive mechanic.

Hunter is survived by his wife Brandi Buckles, one daughter Charlotte Carroll and one stepdaughter Ava Buckles, his mother’s Pam Hopkins of Corinth, Miss., and Laurie Berry of Natchitoches. His father Brian Carroll of Bermuda. His sisters were Courtney Carroll Tidwell, Kalee Carroll Colburn, Nicki Pinion, Candice Howard; brothers were Jackson Carroll, Chris Tolbert and Michael Tremble. His maternal grandparents Wilson and Genell Matlock, of Corinth, Miss., Wallace and Suzy Berry of Natchitoches, his paternal grandmother, Joanne Carroll of Michie, Tenn., and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Joe Carroll of Michie, Tenn.

Hunter enjoyed spending time with his daughters, family and friends. Growing up, he loved deer hunting in Texas with his dad and brother.

The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 22 from 5-7 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 23, in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis in Natchitoches. Burial will take place at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. Matt Pagles will officiate.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lane Medical Center, Zachary, and the staff of LOPA. In the end, Hunter gave the gift of life by being an organ donor.
