May 21, 1946-Nov. 27, 2021

Ann McQuagge, 75, of Shreveport passed away Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at her home with loved ones by her side.  Ann was born May 21, 1946, in Natchitoches to J.C. and Ernestine Brevelle LaCaze.

Ann met the love of her life, Clarence H. “Buddy” McQuagge, in Shreveport and they were married June 3, 1967, in Natchitoches. Buddy worked for the oil industry and his career carried them to Scotland where they lived for 15 years.

She maintained their homes in Scotland and Shreveport. They both loved to travel and when his job took him to other locations, she would travel with him.  They loved exploring new places, meeting people and enjoying great food. Although she never had children of her own, Ann loved being around them, showering them with affection and gifts.  She enjoyed taking care of her home and loved her neighbors.

Ann is fondly remembered as the “pie lady” because she would gift homemade pies at Christmas.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Clarence H. “Buddy” McQuagge; niece, Toni Jacoby; in-laws, Clarence and Daisy McQuagge; grandparents, Jestine and Grace LaCaze.
