Ronnie, 64, and a resident of Chestnut, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8 peacefully at his home. He was born June 22, 1957, to Morgan Aubrey Quick and Beatrice Speir Quick in Natchitoches Parish.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Angel LeJeune Quick; daughter, Bayli Quick and fiancé Travis Brossette; daughter, Valerie Paolini; and sons, Ryan Quick, Caleb Quick and Morgan Cole; grandchildren, Dayton, Damien, Dillan and Dani; and his spoiled fur-babies, ChiChi and DooDoo.
Ronnie Quick started his working career at Piggly Wiggly under Mr. C.W. Belcher in Coushatta. During that time, you could find him driving his 1966 Ford Mustang, his pride and joy. He soon began working at the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office part-time under Norm Fletcher for nine years. Sheriff Boyd Durr hired him full time where he worked in communications and patrol. In 1999, he began working in Criminal Investigations, where he mainly worked in North Natchitoches Parish. Until his retirement in 2013, he worked under Sheriff Victor Jones. Ronnie was a deputy that was continuously concerned about the safety of the citizens in his patrol sector of Natchitoches Parish, and he knew where every citizen lived in his area and often stopped by and checked on senior citizens.
Mr. Quick was a member of the Ashland Masonic Lodge #196 for over 25 years. He was also a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Chestnut. He spent a majority of his time on his tractor, whether he was gardening or just riding around his pasture. He loved to grow a garden and supply his friends and family with fresh vegetables he worked so hard to grow. Mr. Quick left an everlasting impact on many individuals across the state of Louisiana. He will be deeply missed by so many, especially by his wife and caregiver, Angel.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Ragan, Victor Jones, Doug Rachal, Michael Longino, Rob Walsworth and Tim Key.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Hines, Jody Cain, Gary Lee Quick, Earl Harper, E.T. Grayson, John Reliford, Travis Brossette and C.W. Belcher.
