The first resolution solidified the City’s support of a grant application seeking funding for redevelopment of Richardson Park on Lake Street. The application is to the Love Louisiana Outdoors Grant Program (LLO). Ten million dollars will be available on a competitive basis to municipalities that are at least 51 percent low to moderate income based on HUD summary data. Some $400,000 will be available to communities of 5,000 or more. The parks program is funded with CDBG-CV funds from the CARES Act.

The second resolution authorized the Mayor to execute a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the City and State through the Office of Facility Planning and Control of the Division of Administration. The funding is for Texas Street Corridor Improvements for which $150,000 has been approved for planning and construction.
