JT is having a little bit of deja vu as the year comes to a close. It sure seems like the end of 2021 is a lot like 2020. We’ve got another virus threat and a return to masking and social distancing. JT can only assume another booster shot will be coming down the pike. ——-
Speaking of the latest COVID virus strain… JT considers himself to be somewhat intelligent…although there is considerable evidence to the contrary…yet he still can’t figure out the effectiveness of the anti-virus vaccines. Just this week JT heard of a COVID outbreak in a local company that hit like 14 people. There was a group of about three or four that did not get the virus. Here’s the kicker…the 14 that got the virus had all been vaccinated while the small group that didn’t get it had NOT received any of the shots. Go figure?
This is the time of year we prepare our resolutions for the next year. Some are really serious and write them down and some tell family members or close friends hoping for their help in keeping them. Most resolutions, JT read, last about a month. Many years ago JT quit making a list of resolutions. It got to be sooo disappointing to see his failures written down. At this point he’s down to one or two thoughts for the New Year. However, if you need to write something down to help you into the New Year, here is a couple: “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”-Albert Einstein “Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every New Year find you a better man.”-Benjamin Franklin. Or….you could just follow the advice JT saw on a T-shirt the other day—-Be Nice
