Library offers more digital magazines

You might know the Natchitoches Parish Library (NPL) has dozens of magazines for browsing at both the Natchitoches and Campti branches. You might even know that past issues are available for checkout. But what you might not be aware of is that you can check out magazines without even setting foot in the library.
With an NPL card, patrons can use the Hoopla app to check out a newly launched “Magazine BingePass.” This allows reading of current issues of 50+ popular and in-demand magazines, from health to home décor, business to baking, or anything in between. With a reading experience designed specifically for digital use, it’s easy to read hoopla Magazines on a mobile device or your computer, and you can even listen to the articles.

One Instant borrow grants patrons access to all magazine content for seven days. Users can view a list of before they decide to borrow, and once they do, they can enjoy one article or read all 50+ magazines cover to cover. The current lineup is just the beginning, the titles available will grow over time.
Additionally, over 3,000 popular magazines are available to download and read with your library card via the Libby app. Accessible on any device 24/7, NPL patrons can read digital magazines alongside ebooks and audiobooks on Libby or by visiting libbyapp.com. The collection includes many top titles, with up to three years of back-issues available.
Digital magazines through Libby have no waitlists or holds, do not count towards checkout limits, and provide readers the option to renew their selections. NPL patrons can also download magazines through their Libby app for offline use. Readers can browse lists of magazines within the app and search by format to find available titles.
