Native American themed art contest open to school age youth


The Natchitoches Tribe of Louisiana (NTL) will sponsor an art contest for students in parish schools and students of NTL members who are in Pre-K through 12th grades Feb. 1-March 31.
Art subjects must be American Indian in theme and can be any style such as colored page, painted, free hand, color pencil, etc. Printed pages for coloring can be picked up at the Northeast Branch of the Natchitoches Parish Library inCampti. Entries become property of the NTL.

There will be $20 awards for the categories that include pre-school–kindergarten, first and second, third and fourth and fifth and sixth grades. There will be one $50 award for the seventh and eighth grade category; and two awards of $50 each for ninth and 10th grade category and 11th and 12th grade category.
