Cynthia Ann Gillie LeCoure passed away peacefully in the home of her sister, Delores Darcy, Feb. 15, 2022.
She was born April 19, 1970, in Natchitoches to Obbie and Elnora Gillie.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 26 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10-10:55 a.m. Saturday.
Cynthia married Rodney Anthony LeCoure Sr. Sept. 12, 1996 at St. Paul Baptist Church. To that union two sons were born, Rodney Anthony LeCoure III and Slayter Anthony LeCoure. She was blessed within her union to Rodney with two daughters, Tefanie (Jermaine) Below and Brandy LeCoure.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert Earl Gillie Sr.; granddaughter, Aylissa Annette Below; brother-in-law, David Dorsey Sr.; niece, Kyndel Wionna-Ann Gillie; and mother-in-law, Lillian “Sissy” LeCoure.
Survivors include her sons, Rodney III (Jodynn) and Slayter (Jadyn); daughters, Tefanie (Jermaine) Below and Brandy;three granddaughters, Olivia, Annette and Analise Below; father-in-law, Joseph LeCoure; friend, Stanley Reed; sisters, Delores Dorsey and Dianne Bayonne; brothers, Michael Gillie Sr. (Debbie) and Mitchell Bayonne Jr. (Lisa); Goddaughter, Atarah Willis; two nephews whom she helped raise, Terry Gillie and Harold Remmo Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law of Chicago, Angelique Parker (Michael), Joseph LeCoure (Linda), Alesia Nelson (Dennis) and Eric LeCoure; uncles and aunts, the Rev. Joe Williams (Dorothy), Williams Hicks Sr., Charles Hicks, Leodis Gillie Madeline Williams, Artist Johnson, Ruby Hicks, Jeannette Helaire, Lucinda Nealms, Janney Narcisse (Paul), Mary Ann Hicks, Lena Burton, Florida Hicks, Gloria Carpenter; God sisters and brother, Lonnie Hicks, Reginald Sarpy, Brielle Carter, Emma Louis, Natasha Goston, Melissa Williams, Angel Williams and Krissy Murphy, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
