La. DOTD will replace four bridges in Natchitoches Parish on La. 485 near Allen according to an announcement from the department Feb. 17.
Merrick Construction LLC of Cottonport won the bid for a total of $13,727,495. Three of the bridges are west of Interstate 49 and one is east of the Interstate.
While there is no firm starting date, construction usually starts in about three months from the date the bids were let. The contact calls for 700 days construction time.
DOTD announced that 24 projects around the state recently went to bid. Fifteen contractors presented apparent low bids totaling $83.2 million.
