Daddy was a devout Catholic. He would volunteer and help wherever needed, such as leading the Rosary before mass, ringing the bells at mass and he was a lector. Daddy assisted individuals in his church family get to doctor appointments, to town for shopping and any way he was needed and could help.
For years, Daddy and Fr. Dan Cook worked together on many church activities, especially youth related, such as the weekly meals for NSU students and mission projects for outlying Catholic churches and communities. As Fr. Dan Cook expressed, “George came to serve, not to be served.”
Daddy was an active and faithful member of the Knights of Columbus, Third Degree and Fourth Degree.
We ask that memorial donations be made to any of the area Catholic churches, the Knights of Columbus or VITA-Pro Life Ministry, Shreveport.
