NPD theft report for Feb. 11-23

Feb. 23
3:10 p.m.: identity theft: Complainant called in reference to identity theft.
4:03 p.m.: Complainant requested an officer to City Hall in reference to believing one of the city trucks may have been broken into. Driver door was open but nothing seemed to be tampered with.
5:52 p.m.: Caller on McDobson way called in reference to someone taking her car. Advised a subject by the name of Pat took her van. Caller is not owner of the vehicle.
Feb. 22
6:16 a.m.: Complainant at Frog Pond Apartments stated that on Feb. 20 while parked at French Market getting gas she believes her iPad valued at $1,100 was stolen out of her vehicle while she was in the store.
12:50 p.m.: Caller on Whitfield Drive advised sometime between Feb. 15 and time reported an unknown subject gained entry to her vehicle and took her registration and insurance papers. Value $40.
12:56 p.m.: Wal-Mart called in reference to a stolen check. Advised on Feb. 21 a known female came into the store and purchases items totaling $709.57 with a stolen check.
3:39 p.m.: Family Dollar on Texas Street reported a shoplifter. Camera footage was reviewed. Unable to tell if male took any items, however the individual was banned from the store.
2:08 a.m.: Caller at Bayou Gin Mobile Home Park advised an unknown subject stole her Yorkie dog valued at $950 and several clothing items valued at $2,500.

Feb. 21
1:23 p.m.: Complainant went to police station to report her vehicle was broken into. She stated sometime between 4:30 p.m. Feb. 19 and 1 a.m. Feb. 20, an unknown subject gained entry into her vehicle.
Feb. 20
7:51 a.m.: Caller at Hotel St. Denis advised an unknown subject gained entry into a vehicle by breaking the back window valued at $1,000. A Taurus 9mm pistol valued at $400 was stolen.
9:43 a.m.: Caller advised his vehicle was broken into in the Utility Annex Office parking lot. Advised at approximately 4 p.m. Feb. 19 they went into the hotel and upon coming out on Feb. 20, he noticed his passenger side window was broken out. Two boxes of 9mm bullets valued at $100 were taken. Window valued at $800.
Feb. 16
12:23 p.m.: Officer requested to Family Dollar on Texas Street. Terence Steele, b/m, 30, arrested for shoplifting and on three warrants.
Feb. 14
4:49 a.m.: interior vehicle theft: Caller reported a vehicle had been broken into in the Chateau St. Denis parking lot sometime between 8 p.m. Feb. 13 and time of call. Unknown subject gained entry by breaking the driver side window valued at $500 and took $30 cash.
Feb. 13
9:41 a.m.: residential burglary: Caller on Lafayette Street advised a television was taken.
8:19 p.m.: attempted burglary: Caller stated unknown subject attempted to gain entry into a residence on Melissa Place. Caller advised he heard noises and noticed a window had been tampered with.
Feb. 12
10:26 a.m.: Attempted theft: Caller at Stines stated a b/m, wearing a red jacket
