Lunchtime Lagniappe: Caroline Dormon and Briarwood Nature Preserve


The Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and Northwest Louisiana History Museum will host Lunchtime Lagniappe: Caroline Dormon and Briarwood Nature Preserve, Friday, March 25 from 12:15-12:45 p.m.
 Curator Bayli Quick will cover different aspects of the preserve, including its strong connection to naturalist and conservationist Caroline Dormon, who lived on site and was the first woman to work for the National Forest Service.

Visitors will also learn how they can get involved in Briarwood’s upcoming  goals. Quick is a graduate of Northwestern State University and has studied landscaping techniques and agriculture internationally.
Free and open to the public.
