Ernestine Jones Gay passed away peacefully at Community Care Nursing Home of Natchitoches March 4, 2022. She was born Oct. 12, 1935, to the late Mert Dallas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, E. J. Gay; two children, Johnny Lee Jones and Stella B. Gay; and great-grandchildern, Ayden Hooper and Annaley Ratliff.
She is survived by her children, Lillie Edwards, Joe L. Jones (Faye), Ella Ratliff (Kenneth), Huey Gay (Margaret), all of Natchitoches, and Earl Gay (Glenda) of Grand Junction, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be immediate family only.
