Early voting for the March 26 election for Village of Natchez Mayor and Aldermen will be in the Registrar of Voter’s office in the courthouse Saturday, March 12 – Saturday, March 19 from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed Sunday.
Absentee voting by mail is intended for voters who will be out of the parish Election Day and the week of early voting, if the voter is age 65 or older or has mobility impaired ID card. Fax request to 318-357-2212 or mail to Registrar of Voters, POB 677, Natchitoches, LA 71457.
Deadline to make a written request for an absentee ballot by mail is March 22 at 4:30 p.m. Written request forms can be downloaded at www.sos.la.gov.
Request must include name, address, date of birth, Social Security Number or driver’s license number, reason for request, election date and signature.
Ballots must be returned to the Registrar’s office by mail by 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 25. Military and overseas ballots must be returned by mail or fax before noon election day.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, March 26.
